Why Start Right?

Well, victor here again, just to make sure this blog doesn't die off.

Some of you are wondering, why do we implement Start Right in this FS? It took away all the fun when we're just a group of people meeting everyweek to talk and have fun....

Well, first of all, I apologize for not being spontaneous to answering those questions, but I do think I've got a good view on this question in which I wanna share it out here. Be aware that, the following statements are points of views from me, and not from God nor from church itself. It's just part of the reasons why I am running Start Right in FS.

Only reason I could think of, is that none of us read bible regularly. Those who are against that statement, raise your hands~!

Well, I know, Start Right and other bible study materials are boring stuffs, Victor speaks always, we all listens. Sometimes it's so basic that we know all about it. Why do we still run it?

I am ok with running 0 bible study in FS, cause that'll only make my work easier, much much more easier. But, for me to not run these kind of stuff, there is a condition (no free food in this world!). Condition is simple, everyone in FS can study the bible on their own on a regular basis, and everyone can lead a bible study when needed. As simple as that.

Reason why the church is running Start Right which is so basic is because some of the leaders (including me) can't run a proper bible study - cause we don't study the bible~! So, we use Start Right to start it off, giving the leaders a training in disguise. Hehe.

Why do we go to church? For the people? Yeah, but is that all? I go to church for God. If it's for people, I won't be going out fetching youths, and also most of you who are male, cause I'll be more interested to fetch pretty girls that are in our church~! (Ok, I'm desperate for gf, so do understand this statement, haha). It's for God obviously that I am serving like how I'm serving now. Without God, I'm dead.

Back to the topic, I am running start right because almost all of us don't know how to read bible. How many of us spend at least 7 minutes reading the bible, without prayer, without devotional material and just at least 1 chapter daily. I can't say I do so cause I skip days. So, I'm running Start Right to ensure that we all are forced to at least study the Word once a week. And hopefully, if you did do homework before going to FS, you did it twice a week. And slowly, once we have done around 5-6 materials, I believe the habit of doing devotion (reading bible everyday) will be there. And once this habit is there, I can safely stop running these materials in FS. That's my goal that I want to achieve. Revelation is coming, no one knows when. When it comes, the people who can study the bible will vanish. When they vanished, can you still read the bible daily and remain on the right track? Not getting the 666 on your head and hands as is stated? I really want to see all of us triumph over revelation, and when we meet in heaven, God will say "I'm proud of this group of people who continued to uphold My Name through thick and thin~!".

Remember Garry sharing about how he developed his reading habit? That's the same concept I'm doing here. For reasons why the church is running Start Right, plain simple. A lot of people who accepted Christ skipped nurture class. I didn't attend a proper one to be frank. Thus, they know nuts bout this things and they benefit when it is actually run in SGs.

So long post, well, last but not least, leave comments regarding this matter. I do hope you all understood what I wanted to express cause, I'm better at typing than at saying what I wanted to say. Anyway, God bless and do remember to do homework. Haha

PS: I think.. I'm getting old.. evidence : naggy attitude in me.. sweat~!
